Winter Challenge 2025

Winter Challenge was introduced to all IARC members with a motive of remaining active during winter and with a focus of building muscle strength. The competition was organized by some of the board Members with multiple year of experience in strength training.

The challenge was kicked off the first week of January 2025 for a duration of 3 months. The response was overwhelming. 117 participants registered for the challenge. 28 teams were formed with 4 members in each team.

At the start of the competition muscle measurements were done using a special equipment. Each group’s total skeletal muscle mass percentage was calculated, and the goal was to track increase in this metric for each group. This made the competition fun and exciting.

Initial focus of the challenge was on forming the foundation and building strength. Documents were shared with the teams covering the Basic and Advance strength training Plan. Continued communication was maintained with the participants through messages, pictures and articles highlighting the benefits of strength training.

Participants were encouraged to train in a group of 2 or more and push each other. Satheesh and Parag periodically exercised with other team members and encouraged them to stretch themselves beyond their comfort limits.

At the end all participants found this competition to be very beneficial. Many have decided to make strength training a regular part of their life.
